Good morning, friends & readers!
After 3 years of living in LA and a 2 month stop-off in Austin, I am back in the Philly area! We’re excited to be back near family and friends!
This move has been a perfect chance to rethink the daily habits.
Moving, vacations, basically any time we break out of the daily routine is an opportunity to reset, so I’m thinking through how I can be healthier, build better relationships, and find more joy.

Why Sales Matters Everywhere
Sales isn't just for the office.
It pops up in all parts of life.
Long time readers will know that I LOVE the book “To Sell is Human” by Daniel Pink - I recommend it strongly.
Pink estimates that up to 90% of our time is spent ‘selling’ - even if it’s not in a business sales context, I promise that you are selling!
Here are a few additional examples of how sales skills show up every day:
Job Interviews: Selling your unique skills and experience to convince a potential employer that you’re the best fit.
Parenting: Persuading your kids to do things like go to bed on time, framing it as something that benefits them in the long run.
Relationships: Negotiating decisions with your partner, like big purchases or weekend plans, often involves “selling” your viewpoint.
Social Life: Getting your friends to pick your favorite restaurant or activity often comes down to how well you pitch the idea.
