The best investors and business owners share one key trait - they think with a long-term mindset.

Unfortunately, business and life are reliably hard, so maintaining a long-term perspective is challenging.

So often in life, we think that if we can simply achieve X, then we’ll be happy.

If I can get the next promotion, hit the next revenue milestone, or better yet - exit my company for life-changing money, then life will fall into place and I’ll be happy.

This is almost never the case.

That’s right - the goalpost that so many founders drive towards - an exit - is actually not guaranteed to bring happiness.
