RL94: Learning a HARD Lesson (Again)
I'm sure this won't be the last time I struggle with this...
Startups and small businesses are HARD.
They’re super hard.
For my entire entrepreneurial journey, I’ve been stuck in the 0 to 1 phase - this phase is characterized by finding a customer, problem, solution, and business model that enable a founder to begin scaling their company.
For the last 4 years, I’ve had a goal to do 7-figures in sales in a single year, and I’ve never hit that goal. I’ve often thought to myself - if I can grow to a $1m run-rate, THEN things will get easier because we’ll have cash on hand to hire.
Thankfully, we are on pace to finally accomplish that goal - we should pass 7-figures in revenue (on a cash basis for trailing 12 months) by mid-year.
Our revenue is solid and we’ve closed >$100k of deals in the last 3 weeks.
Despite these wins - business is still hard!
